User Portal Update: New and Improved

TL;DR: we updated our User Portal with the new branding, added features and optimized the navigation.

 Hey Qt!

We’re excited to share that we’ve just rolled out an update to our User Portal!

User Portal Home
cute, right?

So, why the update?
We want to offer our users the best experience, and we identified multiple ways to do so with this update project. Additionally, we aligned its look and feel to our overall Qt branding.

Where to go?
The url is my.qt.io (make sure to bookmark it).
For transparency, you’ll be directed to the right place (User or Customer Portal) automatically, depending on which license your account holds:

  • Qt Community Edition → User Portal
  • Qt Educational License → Customer Portal
  • Qt or QA Evaluation License → Customer Portal
  • Qt or QA Commercial License → Customer Portal

Any changes to which license your account is linked to will automatically reflect on which portal you are taken to.
Disclaimer: if you hold, for example, a Qt Community Edition license and a QA Commercial License, you will be taken to the Customer Portal.

What’s new in the User Portal?

  • Branding: updated Qt Branding
  • Fresh new look: aligned with the Customer Portal
  • Get Qt: Community Edition downloads are right on the page
  • Streamlined navigation:  fewer clicks to what you need
  • Simplified experience:  less friction, more flow

Known Issues:
The Support Request layout might not display as intended; however, we are already aware of it and working on a fix.

As always, we’re working to make Qt better for you.
Go check it out — and let us know what you think!
